Know your goals

“Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?”
“That depends a good deal on where you want to get to.”
“I don’t much care where –”
“Then it doesn’t matter which way you go.”

Why Freelancing?

One of the most important questions in to know why you want to freelance and what you want from it. Do you want to do this full-time in order to do this for a living? Or do you just want to have a client here and there for some extra spending money? Knowing what you want will help you determine what you need to do. It may seem like a boring task, but this is one of the most important things you need to do.

Why freelancing

What do you want to get out of this?

Do you want to completely switch over to full-time freelancing? Or do you just some extra clients on the side? If it’s the first one, then you have a lot of work to do, if its the second one, then you still have a lot of work to do. No matter we’re here to help you out. Asking yourself what you want from freelancing helps you get a good estimate of how much money you want to make from this. Don’t say “I want to make millions every year!”; be realistic and host with yourself. Its generally best to set up a monthly income goal amount at 6 months time and at a year’s time from starting out.

TL;DR Summary

Figuring out your end goal determines the game plan for your freelance career. Figure out what you want from freelancing, and base your marketing and business around that.
